How much will it cost?
Our standard rate for style editing is HK$445 per hour. We also offer an expedited service for urgent work that costs HK$556 per hour. We offer a 10% discount on these rates for students.
How long will it take?
The turnaround time for an editing request will depend on a number of factors: how many words the document has, how well written it is, and the level of service required. Typical turnaround times for an average-length paper of 7000 words are 3-4 days for our standard service and 24-48 hours for our expedited service.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made in the following ways:
1) By transferring money to one of our bank accounts in Hong Kong or the UK.
2) By Alipay or WeChat through our website.
3) By PayPal (
4) By cheque or bank draft in HKD, SGD, USD, or GBP.
What subjects are you able to cover?
We can style edit papers in most academic disciplines, especially those in the humanities and social sciences. From their own academic backgrounds, their editing experience, and the training they have undergone at Cammad, our editors have acquired a competent knowledge of academic terminology in a wide range of disciplines.
I have some non-academic work that needs editing. Are you still able to help?
Yes, no problem. We specialize in academic editing and the majority of our customers are academics; however, we are more than happy to edit other writing too. We have edited website text, advertising copy, and other business-related material for our clients.
Who will be editing my work?
We will assign your document to one of our skilled and experienced editors. All of our editors have postgraduate qualifications and several have PhDs. Unlike some other editing companies, our staff turnover rate is low. We recruit infrequently and fastidiously. New editors are trained in the editing techniques that Cammad has been developing and applying for 20 years and if they are able to consistently edit to our high standards, they normally continue editing for us for years.
